Jo Dounis

Jo Dounis is presenting a new collection of mixed media on canvas paintings which are, for the most part, images captured from her imagination. The result is a series of textured paintings of a utopian world, which one might experience in a daydream or fantasy, devoid of any signs of civilisation and human influence. Inspired by deserted rocky coastlines, dramatic skies and pristine countrysides, some of them almost abstract in their minimalism, they transport the viewer to a place of calm and tranquility.
